Overview
For many cities around the world, it is of great importance to promote public transportation as a favorable choice of commute. Envisioning a future where intelligent transportation platforms are abundant, Litemax is focused on providing solutions concerned with passenger information systems, automatic fare collection, traffic improvement, control room surveillance and rolling stock applications.
Information is power. It enables planning and strategizing, adapting and adjusting.
Passenger information systems have evolved considerably over time, from paper signage boards to commercial lightboxes, to the LED panels and LCD displays that combined with the single board computer as a smart display module system is fully tested, deliverable, and ready for the deployers application software. These systems include the most modern, sophisticated processing power, ethernet connectivity, solid-state memory, and fan-less enclosures. The complete smart display module displays can be manufactured to meet high-shock, vibration, and environmental standards needed for the application... Systems convey information to passengers quickly, enabling them to act as needed or making them aware of goings-on that will impact their travel.
Passenger information systems can be used in a multitude of venues -- on highways, buses, cabs, and subways – offering a host of benefits for travelers relying on public transportation.
What triggers passenger the most are:
- Delays due to transit vehicles backed up or problems on the transit route downstream.
- Long waits at a transfer stop.
- Missed departures due to wrong real-time information.
- Inability to board or denials of boarding due to crowding.
Benefits:
- Provide information to passengers in real-time.
Passengers want to know immediately of any change that can alter or delay their route. Real-time information can be delivered accurately to all stops across a network, even in the most remote locations, allowing travelers to make decisions and react based on reliable information - Promote business and location-specific information.
Transit systems can sell space on the displays to news services and local
businesses, which in turn can produce messaging and ads to attract commuters. Commercials can promote businesses along the transit route or make special offers to travelers who hold and show their ride tickets at a particular establishment in the community. - Reduce operating costs and build efficiency.
For transit systems with multiple locations, digital displays can connect all the boards hanging in various facilities, allowing operators, if desired, to control the appearance of those displays with a single computer. - Improve passenger satisfaction.
The information displays versatility positions it as a key solution in how business is conducted effectively and efficiently. At high-traffic times, the displays can be used to allow customers to visually follow transit vehicles or watch informational videos, helping pass the time and creating the perception of a shorter wait time. - Reliable and durable displays.
Custom resized LCD technology combined with the single board computer as a smart display module system is fully tested, deliverable and ready for the deployers application software. These systems include the most modern, sophisticated processing power, ethernet connectivity, solid-state memory and fan-less enclosures. The complete smart display module displays can be manufactured to meet the high-shock, vibration, and environmental standards needed for the application.

Why Litemax?
MTBF 100,000 Hours
In line with the core competency of Litemax in premium, sunlight readable display technologies, the LCD modules are designed to satisfy the requirements of a diverse range of harsh, demanding environments, utilizing the latest LED backlight technology. Litemax’s LED-backlit displays come with lower electromagnetic noise and lower power consumption. No more frequent or continuous operation and maintenance!
Resizing LCD
As an exclusive patent licensee, Litemax boasts innovative the resizing technology for all of its LCD displays. From stretched to square, configurations are made easy for every space and place at any industrial facility, accommodating a wide range of installations. Customizations are available upon request.
Sunlight Readable
Whether it’s an outdoor kiosk at a gas station or digital signage at an oil field, visual readability is imperative. Sunlight Readable has always been the core competence of Litemax since the company’s inception, as the majority of displays offered at Litemax is made for 1,000 nits and above. The high brightness ensures perfect visual readability under any lighting condition.
Local Dimming
Local dimming technology has been widely popular in mainstream television for years. Litemax has brought the same technology to industrial-grade displays, particularly for large-sized, outdoor displays. Local dimming dims the LED backlight to optimize the heat and save the energy. Litemax also achieves High Dynamic Range (HDR) through local dimming technology to enable the industry’s greatest color contrast on industrial displays.
Vandal-Proof
Litemax solutions are vandal-proof from IK7 to IK10, with ability to withstand hostile environmental conditions prevalent in an industrial set-up.
Water-Proof
Litemax solutions are water-proof from IP65 to IP68, with ability to withstand hostile environmental conditions prevalent in an industrial set-up.
Wide Temperature
Litemax solutions come with various types of panels that guarantee high performance between the temperature range of -40°C (the lowest) and up to 80°C (the highest).
Intelligent Thermal Control
Through intelligent thermal management technologies, Litemax is enabling smarter platforms for various vertical markets deploying display systems. Through the intelligent thermal control board, Litemax helps system integrators and engineers around the world improve efficiency and reliability. What does Litemax thermal control board offer? Infographics demonstrate how Litemax optimizes the temperature through the intelligent platform as the display automatically cools down or heats up itself, depending on LCD temperature

Innovative PIS solutions in Asia transport
With population of over five million in its municipality, Huai’an is a large city with a mass transit infrastructure that includes railways, buses, and – most recently – a light rail transit system. As the newest addition to the infrastructure and a statement of novelty and advanced technology, the light rail transit system seeks the most innovative, intelligent platforms on its trains to better improve the daily lives of Huai’an’s citizens. For this reason, the Spanpixel SSF3625 was selected as the benchmark for all next-generation in-train displays, with the ability to broadcast dynamic video contents, while maintaining high energy efficiency like all Litemax displays.
